Coaching Terms & Conditions

Effective: 1st April 2026
Angie Smith Coaching & Consultancy FZE
1. Coaching Relationship
Coaching is a collaborative, thought-provoking process designed to help you achieve personal and professional growth. It’s not therapy or consulting. You remain in control of the topics and actions you choose to pursue. The coach’s role is to facilitate insight and progress, not to give answers or solutions.
2. Coach Qualifications
Angela Smith is a certified professional coach holding the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and adheres to their Code of Ethics and Core Competencies. She is trained in Brain-Based Coaching through the NeuroLeadership Institute and is also a Licensed Firework Career Coach. Angela brings over 25 years of experience in tech and leadership roles, now supporting professionals in navigating career change and leadership challenges.
3. What to Expect
Coaching sessions are supportive, confidential, and designed to help you think clearly and take action. You’ll be invited to reflect, explore new ideas, and challenge your current mindset. Tools and exercises may be offered to support your goals, but you are never obligated to use them. This is your space to think, grow, and move forward.
4. What Coaching Is Not
Coaching is not therapy, mentoring, or consulting. It is not suitable for diagnosing or treating mental health conditions, and it does not include advice-giving or directive guidance.
5. Session Logistics
Sessions are conducted via Zoom and last 60 minutes unless otherwise agreed.
Please arrive on time. Sessions will end at the scheduled time regardless of arrival.
If you are more than 30 minutes late without notice, the session will be considered forfeited.
At least 24 hours’ notice is required for rescheduling. Late notice may result in a lost session unless otherwise agreed.
6. Payment Terms
Full payment is due before the first session unless otherwise agreed.
Payment is accepted via Stripe or bank transfer. Any related bank fees or exchange costs are the responsibility of the client.
You will receive an invoice or receipt upon payment.
7. Coaching Packages
Coaching is typically delivered as a package agreed in advance. The number of sessions, duration, and any included tools, follow-up support, or additional sessions will be outlined at the point of purchase or in written communication.
Any additional support or resources offered as part of a package are provided at the coach’s discretion and may vary depending on the engagement.
8. Cancellation and Expiry
You may cancel within 5 days of booking and before your first session for a full refund (minus any applicable bank fees).
Once sessions have started, packages are non-refundable.
Sessions must be used within 6 months of payment unless otherwise agreed. Any unused sessions after this period may be forfeited.
9. Confidentiality and Data Use
Everything discussed during coaching sessions is treated as confidential. Your personal details (such as name, email, and phone number) may be recorded for administrative or credentialing purposes but will not be shared with third parties.
Brief notes may be taken during or after sessions to support continuity and reflection. These are stored securely, are not shared, and may be retained for a period of time following the end of the coaching engagement.
In some cases, tools may be used to support note-taking or reflection. Any information used in this way is handled confidentially and, where appropriate, does not include identifying details.
Themes or insights from coaching sessions may be used for learning or content purposes in a fully anonymised way, with no identifying details shared.
10. Mental Health and Wellbeing
You are responsible for your own mental and emotional wellbeing. Coaching does not replace therapy or medical care. If you are under the care of a mental health professional, please inform them of your engagement in coaching.
11. Intellectual Property
All coaching tools, exercises, and materials are the intellectual property of Angie Smith Coaching & Consultancy FZE and are for your personal use only. They may not be copied or shared without written permission.
12. Referral Disclosure
If you were referred by a third party, that person may receive a discretionary referral fee. This does not impact the terms of your coaching agreement.
13. Results Disclaimer
While coaching is designed to support meaningful change, your progress depends on your engagement and commitment. No specific outcomes are guaranteed.
14. Agreement to Terms
By making payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
